The Furious Five series concluded Saturday with an action-packed set of Legends and Bandoleros racing on Atlanta Motor Speedway’s ¼ mile Thunder Ring.
In the Masters feature Bill Plemons Jr. and Robbie Woodall traded the lead back and forth throughout in the opening half of the race. Plemons prevailed, but had Woodall on his tail as the pair worked through lap traffic. A caution with three laps to go set the scene for one final showdown between the two; Woodall hounded Plemons for all three laps, but couldn’t find a way around to the point. Plemons held on for the victory, followed by Woodall and Tony Armbruster in 3rd. Continue reading

Participants are reminded to show up as early as possible and dressed smartly. It is also advisable to bring a few copies of your resume.

What a privilege it is to read the Bible for yourself!
If you ever thought you might like to read the whole Bible, which is an excellent personal goal to set, one challenge may have been knowing where to start and how to pace yourself. This One Year Bible Reading Plan is helpful in that way. If you follow this reading plan, you are only reading a few chapters of the Bible a day, and you can complete the whole Bible in one year.
This Bible reading plan is based on a January 1 start, but really you can begin and end whenever you like. If you print it out, you can mark each box when you’ve read those passages. If you take a day or two off, you’ll know where to pick back up when you return.
“Whatever happened to Lovejoy Ledger?”
We’ve heard that question more than a few times over the last few months, and the answer is that Lovejoy Ledger is moving over to make way for Welcome to Lovejoy.
Lovejoy Ledger, launched in the summer of 2013, was designed to be a small community news source, primarily for residents of the Lovejoy, Georgia area. We enjoyed several years in print and on the Internet, but we ceased the print edition in late 2016, and we gradually phased out LovejoyLedger.com after that.
Welcome to Lovejoy is now under development as a website and a series of social media channels aimed primarily at newcomers and guests to the Lovejoy area. Folks like us who have been around for a few years will enjoy Welcome to Lovejoy as well, of course, especially as a tool to help us connect with the community and take part in welcoming others.j
And while there are no immediate plans to publish a print edition of Welcome to Lovejoy, we do have a few tricks up our sleeves to build a digital document that can be freely downloaded, printed, stitched and distributed. Give us a few months on that one.
